In her role, she is also responsible for indirect revenues through partner channels.
In the early years of Sharmilli’s career, she worked at Microsoft on flagship products:
- Shipping 100s of versions of Office in dozens of languages.
- Helping design international datacenters and launch international ISPs for MSN.
- Running Developer and Partner events to onboard partners on the MSFT stack.
After Microsoft, she founded two startups, where she drove corporate vision, product roadmaps, and sales, as well as negotiated the exit transactions. In between corporate jobs, she spent several years in a variety of strategic consulting roles for enterprise customers. Her consulting work spanned a broad range of areas, including competitive strategy, fiscal efficacy, business models, outsourcing strategy, and partner programs.
Sharmilli is an active investor and mentor to startups in the Seattle area. She is a Board Member of TIE Seattle and a member of two early-stage investment groups. She is also an active member of organizations supporting science and engineering education for girls, and career advancement for women in technology.
