Customer or consumer identity is a way of tracking the same customer everywhere they move—the websites they visit, the devices they use, what they purchase—and creating a single, unified view into who that person is, now and as their profile evolves. Customer identifiers might be an email address, a mobile phone number, or a social media handle.
